About Us

Maricopa County has a robust community of free, charity and low cost clinics available for people who do not have healthcare coverage. Despite having over 40 clinics for the uninsured there is no single clinic that has every service needed. When all of the systems combine their resources there is little that cannot be acquired for the uninsured population.

For this reason in October of 2016 eight different healthcare systems met for the first Arizona Safety Net meeting. The goals of the Safety Net are to familiarize all of the clinics with each other, share resources, share best practices, create a larger body for collective bargaining purposes and expand the scope of care the uninsured can access in the Phoenix Metro area.
